In 2009 I graduated with my Masters in Counseling, after graduating I decided to take the opportunity to enhance my skills through various direct service and leadership roles. In 2016 I returned to school and earned an Advanced Certificate of Mental Health Counseling, while I continued evolving as a Mental Health Professional.

I have been in the field of Mental Health for almost 20 years. I’ve held various roles as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). I have served as a Clinical Director at a non for profit organization in Westchester County where I provided clinical leadership through the utilization of evidenced based practices and overall clinical quality care for community outpatient treatment services. I currently hold a position as Adjunct Professor for the Graduate Counseling Department at Mercy College. I am currently licensed to practice in the state of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida.

As a trauma therapist, I have been extensively trained and experienced in EMDR therapy. With a deep understanding of trauma-related disorders, I am equipped to guide clients through the healing journey with sensitivity, empathy, and expertise.  I believe in providing a safe and supportive environment where clients can openly express their emotions and struggles. I believe that compassion fosters trust, allowing for a therapeutic alliance that is essential for healing.

As a licensed therapist I participate in ongoing Professional Development through continuing education that allows me to stay up-to-date with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in the field.  I also am able to maintain a certain level of competency and stay current with the evolving field of mental health field.

I was born and raised in East Harlem also known as Spanish Harlem and have lived throughout New York City's five boroughs. I've also lived in New Paltz, Albany, Saratoga and Wilton, NY.  I'm a wife and a mom of two amazing children, who keep me on my toes. I love to work out, self-care and my faith are very important to me. I start every morning with prayer, meditation, journaling, and a good workout.
